Isn't there a screw on the throttle body that would need to be adjusted? I remember looking in the Haynes book and seeing that there was a stepped thing on the throttle body and the screw is used to hold the butterfly valve open just a little or something like that. If he changed that, that might be the problem.

Not too sure what you guys are all going on about, though, just thought I would throw down my 1.5 cents...

ok, my check engine came back on so i took the car back to autozone, come to find out the sold me the wrong stinking sensor. after exchanging it out for the right sensor and firing the car back up the idle has settled down to around 900 rpm, but after driving it around for a day the check engine light it right back on. any ideas. i have checked and double checked to connections.

My guess from generic cardom and your idle symptoms is you may well have a leaking intake manifold gasket. Given you just changed manifolds, that strikes me as being especially likely.

your problem might in one of the following:
1. idle servo motor (2wires), idle speed control (5wires)
2. tps sensor
3. maf sensor
regarding on how to check and replace, check the autorepair help video in the you tube, this might help.
