hi there... I just bought a 1991 Mitsubishi GTO RHD from Japan. the car is immaculate and i have no problems whatsoever... except one thing that is annoying. when i put the clutch in all the way, it's fine. Just when i go to take it out and shift, as it is about 1/4 of the way out (just a rough guess) there is a relativly loud clicking noise that can be heard inside as well as outside when the hood is popped. so i'm wondering...is this normal? or is something wrong with the tranny? or just the clutch?
Thanks so much
Josh

is the noise inside? if its not then I would say its something to do with the TOB or the TOB arm on the g/box, the arm is held in place by a heavy clip which keeps the arm captive on a ball screwed to the bell housing which allows the arm to pivot on, it may be that as it would be under stress when the pedal is depressed, its going to be trial and error with something like this!

enigma sounds spot on. Interference could be the problem.
