Hey,

I am looking at a set of new 18's for my Lancer SE. 5/114.3 bolt pattern, 47mm offset. 18x7.5 size.

Rubber that I want is slightly wider ( 225/45/18 ) than the stock GTS tire (which is 215/45/18 ). Works out to about 1% difference on the speedo.

Am I going to have any rubbing issues, or am I good to go??!?!?

BTW - car is stock height, not lowered.

Thanks!

Hello Aftermarket,

That set up should work out great. You shouldn't have any rubbing at all. Our guide says that for an 18x7.5 you want an offset in the range of 41-55mm (lower offsets push the wheel out and higher offsets tuck the wheel in) I also show that the 225/45-18 would be a good alternate size to your stock tire. The larger tire will have a little effect on your speedo. Here is a Tire Calculator. For details on that.
