Hi, Just bought a new pajero 2008 and was hoping to discuss similar problems and solutions with other owners...

1. The 120KM warning sound, Any solutions. Its driving me crazy!!!!

2. next to the cigarrete lighter theres some sort of slot. What is that for? A card of some kind???

3. I am having another problem with some of the sounds in my car while driving, coming from the back trunk door when driving over pot holes or when the car is driving up a slope... any ideas?

In the manual , will tell yu how to reset it. its diffrent for some models that have Nav , Touch Screen , and most normal models its on the instrument cluster. It tells yu how to reset the Maint Light. The second question i am not sure to which area yu are speaking , Do yu have power lift gate option? I have serviced 2 on recall , that the bumper latche when closing that locks in the gate were not locking the liftgate in when it was down all the way, the liftgate seemed closed but was not. On a non power lift gate , only one i saw, the latch needed adjustment, the latch and lock was to far out. The door was close but not solidly .

1. I suppose it's some kind of warning sound for speeding? My 2008 Pajero doesn't have that, sorry.

2. I assume you are talking about the little "drawer" that you have to push the lid to open it? I was told that slot was for cards (like credit cards etc) never really looked into it, I took their word :P

3. I have the same problem too, as if something isn't well attached and bangs anytime I drive over a bump or anything. Haven't looked into it, but it was there since day 1, so I guess it's nothing to worry about (just very annoying for such an expensive car)

Like i mentioned. Is it a power lift gate? Or manual lift. If the liftgate striker or locking latch on the liftgate is misalinged or teh striker is adjusted to far out , it will keep the liftgate frum closing firmly against teh liftgate seal and stoppers , so , when it does not close firmly the, liftgate the noise yu are hearing is the free play of the liftgate striker and locking latch. Do yu guys have power or manual liftgates. Also if yu have the touch screen Navi/ or the touch face hvac panel , there is a feature in there that usually most times is preset , that will chim when yu go over a certain speed limit . Ive seen Pajerors and Toyota have it. Yu can set the speed alarm , its spossed to chime to alert yu that yu yu have gone over a certain speed limit if yu have not noticed. Its basically spossed to keep yu frum speeding

i have a manual liftgate that opens sideways like a door. I feel locking latch needs to be adjusted BUT from day 1 i also have that problem !!!

There are lots of annoying sounds specially when driving on a bumpy road, its like driving an "ice box". The glove compartment normally does alot of noice, the rest is from the back.

I have the normal cd/mp3/radio player, how can i remove the 120km warning beep... very annoying specially on highways. I asked at the dealership and was told that the older model could be ajusted but the new model is impossible !!!

With the rear gate doors closes, applying a little pressure where both doors meet , is there any free play? Can yu still push it in a little after its latched on the stricker when closed. If so yu will need to adjust the striker and the locking latge in the door. The same goes for teh glove box , the striker can be adjusted inward so the door closes secure and is firmlly against the rubber stoppers. The rear gate doors also has rubber bump stoppers that hold pressure on the door when they are closed keeping them tight in the locking position. The rubber stoppers were adjustable on the older models but not these i have seen. Its all about the adjustment on the striker and the locking latch in teh door.

No its not one time, and not constant ..
Its not loud, you need to put the radio off and listen,

My be the sound like same sound when you apply bareek in the traffic, there is a click or knock sound
duto the shack of car after stop.

only notice it curve to the right
I'm not sure what kind of suspension for Pajero 3.0 letter / 2008

mmm yes the sound like smooth knock,

Do you think because the tires still new and this sound because the friction?

It can maybe be the shock , or control arm one side. Hard to say it is. Could be loose brake caliper , but more likelly shock or a control arm perhaps , .

The clicking sound is normal when applying the brakes... I have that too... No Problems there.

regarding the rear gate, i moved the locking latch behing the handle inwards 1mm and the sound is gone... THANKS

Regarding the glove box, i added some rubber stickers to stop the clicking sound and that sound is gone too.
