hi guys,

has anyone taken off their roof rails? if so, how? i'm planning to take it off when we have our trackday two weeks from now since reducing driver weight will be next to impossible (LOL!) and i'd like to remove what i can from the outie. thanks!

The rails are all alluminum not much weight but they are easy to remove. If you look at the plastic covers inside you will see a little groove where you can insert a tool (large flat screw driver)to remove these plastic covers. If your Outlander is older and it has been in the sun a lot they might break but if your careful they should just unsnap. Then it is just screws at each rail bracket. I removed mine to body paint match the plastic covers.
