Hey all i have a 95 mitsubishi eclipse non turbo. the last week started turning off while i was driving the car, Also when u turned the key nothing would happen, wouldnt crank or anything so i had to jump start it evry time to get moving. I went to auto parts and they did a diagnotic and said my alternator was fine but needed a started. my battery was also shot. So i bought a battery and a new starter. After replacing it my car no longer turns off when driving buuuuttttt. I still cant start the dang thing without jumping it and its a BRAND NEW battery. anyone out there know what the heck i should or could do before i keep buying more parts. oh yeah and i took off the positive plug on the battery when it was on to see if it was the alternator and the car stood on. so i have no clue what the problem could be. any help would be totally appreciated. will it crank and no start,, or when you turn the key it's dead until you jump it?

Maybe a relay problem?
Shot in the dark really.
I do know this for certain. It is a bad thing to disconnect the positive battery cable while the engine is running. It can do al kinds of nasty things to the computer, and if it is an automatic, it can screw up shift control and other kinds of stuff. Taking off th positive cable is the old school way, and I used to do it myself. With todays tech and electronics, it's just not a good thing to do.

check all wires too and from your batt. if your car won't do a thing when the key is turned you gotta make sure that your getting power and where its going and even more important in this sit. where its not going.

I'm 95% sure this is your problem. clean all the connections ant run an ohm test across all possible points. Replace whatever wires have the highest resistance.
