My car will not start. Its a Eagle talon 1996 non turbo. It started with a sputter. Then the sputter cleared up. Then after a few days there were no start. I would wait a couple minutes then it would start back up. After a few more days it got harder to start. Now no start at all. It has fuel going to the motor. I sprayed fuel into the intake. No start.... Its not the relay for the fuel. Im going to try asd tomorrow.. I hope its not the computer. If you guys have had this problem please let me know before I buy a computer. Thanks Gary

I just remembered this.
I had a Eclipse '94 G1 base model, with a 1.8 litre engine. I had a similar problem, which is why I don't have it anymore.
Anyway, it ended up being some sort of wierd problem with the distributor itself. There was some sort of a diode or other wierd thing that went bad in the distributor, that caused it not to start. I had all of the same problems as you. I had spark. I was getting fuel. Just no start.
My buddy who is a genius when it comes to anything automotive, diagnosed the issue (he was the lead diag guy at a chain of trans shops in Utah). Replacing that was expensive by itself. Worse was that he accidentaly fried the ECM while doing the diag.
End result was it was going to cost me around $1200 to fix it all, for a car that cost me $1300. Wasn't worth fixing.
Anyway, you might want to get a DVOM (digital volt ohm meter) and check that stuff. Just be carefull when checking the computer leads, or it will get real expensive, real quick.

89-94 1.8L cars are the only ones that had a distributer. all others had a coil pack. but good thought
