Hi, Please let me say Thank you before hand for answers to any of my questions. In case the sig doesn't pop up, I have a 1999 Eclipse GS-T Spyder with NO mods as of yet. It's all stock. BTW, I tried to look for these specific problems on the post, I read the FAQ's (Which did answer some of the questions I did have), so please don't hate me if you've heard all these before. I just got the car from a buddy of mine that's about to get married (and therefore will have no room for toys) and so he fully disclosed the following problems: 1. The liner for the convertible top does not stay put (it hangs from the back) and thus partially covers the back window. that is ooviously a potential safety concern. He tried adhesives but the liner won't cooperate. ANYONE else have that problem? Any solution you may have heard of? I will take a pic of it today so as to fully illustrate the problem. 2. I have to fully depress the clutch to make sure I don't grind the gears, is this just an adjustment issue? 3. I found a timing belt kit that states it's for the first gen eclipse, can I use this on my 99 turbo? I looked at Ebay and someof those kits list their kits as fitting both gens. Again , Thank You!!! :liebe011:

And yes, you need to press the clutch the whole way down for longer life on the tranny

Did you check out this link yet? http://www.topsonline.com/No friend, I didnt checked that website until know, but I'm from Puerto Rico, here are a few people that works with tops, so I have to see if it can be fixed, because it would be less expensive, also, i asked in mitsubishi how much did the top cost and they said 4,495, and the car didnt even cost me 4,000 so , i will not buy the whole damned top from them...
