Hello all:

Once again I am in search of Help

Question 1: where can I find a used driver side fog light for my 98 Galant LS.

I called a bunch of places in NY and no one seems to have one. I called the dealer and they wants $230.00 for the unit. No sites on the Internet that I searched comeback with a positive search.

Question 2: How do I rebuilt my power antenna?

my power antenna last piece gets stuck from time to time. I put some grease or WD 40 and clean it and goes back to normal. Yesterday while cleaning it the last top piece was stuck. I pull very hard and eventuallly freed up and extended completely. No something broke inside and the metal rod goes up and down and doesn't stay up. the motor is fine, the dealer wants $58.50 for the antenna rod or $306.00 for the complete unit. Those prices are out of my league at the moment.

Thanks for your help

The fog lamp unit in yur country might be tricky , unsure , just look up used car parts places or aftermarket replacment body part sites.

The antenna is a follows. At the outside base of the power mast antenna there is a cap screw nut that yu must remove. Then have sumone turn the radio on and as the power mast comes up pull up gentelly til it comes out all the way including the chord , make sure all or the broken chord comes out also.

Watch which way the geared (teethed) part of the power mast chord is facing. The teether part is usually facing toward the front of the car. Leave the radio on. When replacing the power mast i usually apply white lithium grease if lithium grease is hard to find use bearing greae, and apply it to teh chorded area of the power mast chord so it stays well lubed as it winds and unwinds in the motor assembly .

Hold the power mast up and the chord unwound , and stick the chord in the housing shaft with the geared (toothed) facing the way the old came out, which is usually facing teh front of teh car . have a person turn the radio off, the power motor will start to pull in the power mast chord, make sure the chord is straight . The motor will pull the chord and antenna assembly all teh way in till the mast is all the way in the assembly. Put back teh locking cap screw. This cap screw holds the antenna masts base in the housing. After securing teh locking cap screw, have sumone turn teh radio on and make sure teh poswer mast extends fully , and then turn teh radio on and make sure it retracts without binding up. Job Done.
