Hello, i am a new member to this forum. I have a 2003 Galant. The control knob which directs the airflow from the heat-A/C to the floor, vents, windshield is not working. Other than being unable to direct the airflow everything is working normally. Is this an electrical control or a mechanical control such as a cable - and can this be easily fixed? Any help is appreciated.

Hello:
I have a 2003 galant and I just pulled the dash apart today for another heater issue (happily now fixed). To get into that area, just pop the stereo trim off and unscrew the heat and a/c controls. Behind the blend control knob, there are wires and a physical cable adjuster. May be worth just having a peek to see if it's something obvious. It could be a fuse if I remember right too. Good luck.
