Hello,I need to change the fuse that controls the central locking switch thats inside the car on the center console next to the handbrake. But I dont know how to remove it.I cant get at it with the little tool you get inside the fuse box.

Its the 20amp fuse located in the middle of the yellow thing. Can someone help me.Cheers

Can yu not "lift" the yellow retainer to access the fuse?

If i am not mistaken , that yellow clip keeps the fuses frum being "mistakenlly" removed in any case. because they are usually non servicable fuses that do not need to be replaced often. It should have little tabs near their base that yu can squeeze to take it up.

Hmm,I managed to get the fuse out but it seems fine. Can you think of anything else that would cause the switch to not work?

If you mean the switch that's on the inside of the driver's door, then mine stopped working a while ago, and it was due just to dirty switch contacts. I squirted a tiny bit of WD40 into the switch and worked it backwards and forwards a few times, and it started working and has been fine since.

There is also a fuse yu should check inside the vehicle for teh "PWR LCKS" this drives power to the central locking controller also. I have seen a few models that teh central locking controller has gone bad. When standing outside , and yu lock the door, Do all the doors lock? No? When unlocking performing unlocking to unlock all teh doors , does just teh driver unlock or all doors? And the power lock switch works neither?

The switch on my car is on the center console. All the locks work if I lock or unlock them with the remote. It just seems to be the switch that controls the central locking from inside the car.

So apparently the there is continuity to the system , teh switch may be bad , so when attempting to use the switch to lock or unlock the doors nothing happens , well yu can check to see if continuity is coming to teh switch.

Well hope that yu are feeling better. Or on the way to it. Well the retainer that holds the switch , remove it to gain access to the switches plug in to where yu can check for power at one of the terminals
