i got two 1600 watt sound storm amps on my solo baric 15.... since its dual voice coil i did 1600 to one and 1600 to the other its pretty freakin loud, ill have pics up later

who makes a 15" solo baric? also putting two amps to one sub is more expensive than putting one to it. why would you do such a thing? anyways, what is the RMS of the amps and the RMS of the sub woofer? if you run too much you will blow your speaker.

just got my sytem all put in (well, will finish tomorrow with the 6x9's and amp) i'll maybe get some pics up too.

actually its louder with two, kicker comp makes the solo baric and its rated at 2500 or close to it, but since its dual voice coil im running 1600 to one and 1600 to another so its not exactly running 3200 watts straight....if you know anything about subs then you know what im talking about

"kicker comp" is not a company. Solo barics are made by Kicker, under Stillwater Designs.

I hope those amps are in a master/slave setup. If they aren't then they will both be sending individual signals to the subwoofers which won't be in sync with each other causing the coil to heat up faster than it normaly would.

Oh and not to bash but with those soundstorm amps i doubt the sub is even seeing 1500wrms from both amps. i've never seen a soundstorm amp do rated power. sorry man

In my experience kicker subs thump just about the hardest so if thats all you want then ya kickers the best. i got an all pioneer system, except the amp, since pioneer doesn't put out amps powerfull enough to run multi sub systems, atleast they didn't when i got my stuff. can't believe kickers new 10K watt subs, anybody heard them?

Kicker doesn't make a 10000wrms sub.
But im guessing you're referring to the solo x and it isn't that new. I would hate to see a frequency response graph for that sub because it wouldn't be very wide. That sub holds very little musical capabilities. For a one note wonder car or a few burps they are alright but noone is breaking records with them.

The only argument I ever get from a kicker person is "It's Loud."

Which opens up a whole world of quesitons such as:

Whats the Sound Quality like?
Do you even know what sound quality is?
Forget those questions, do you know what quality is?

To this, they pretty much always answer with the above, "it's loud."

I think JL audio is about as loud as you can get and still make it sound good. To me though, there is nothing like old school blaupunkt or phoenix gold.

what about Volfenhagen? thats a pretty dang good brand, both for loudness and sound quality!!!!
