Hi all, new to the forum.

Also had a question if you don't mind.
i just purchased 2001 Eclipse GT v6 3.0. And discover 2 problems already.

1-- Water pump needs to be replaced. And im being quoted around 400 to fix it.
Any of you have done this service how reasonable is that amount?

2-- I don't know the access code to the Head Unit. I called the dealership they told me the'd charge 95 to retrieve it. I know a lil bit about car audio. And i heard all you gotta do just take the whole dash out, and get the serial number which is the access code

Any ideas? and thanks

1: decent price, change the timing belt as well

2: call a different dealer ship.

I believe that there is or used to be a thread on here from a guy that worked at a Mitsu dealership and had all the different codes posted for unlocking the headunits. It might have been taken down, but bobthecow told me about that. So you can send him a personal message and see if he can point you in the right direction. Hope this helps.

yeah its in the car audio, video, and electronics sub-forum. i know hes very knowledgeable, but try to not refer newbies to him a lot. you will blow his PM's up. i mean as the admin mod hes already got a lot on his plate. we just need to start teaching these new guys how to search for the topics. i typed in the (search engine) on the top right "radio codes". it came up with several topics. however two in particular! here are the links that will most likely help you with your radio code.

you don't have to pay anything from these two links to get your code bra. ENJOY!

Yea I was trying to find those but I couldn't. But you're right bobthecow has alot on his plate being the admin and everything, but he doesn't mind pointing somebody in the right direction on occasion, but it is true that people need to learn how to use the search function thoroughly before posting their topic.
