I may get a Lancer DE as my first car this summer on lease. Would be 2009. What mods are you able to do while its on lease. Can you get different rims and a body kit while on lease? Can you get an exhaust while on lease?

Count the rock chips on the car? I think that's pretty much it if you're leasing.

You can only do mods that you can take off when you turn it in. However they are going to void the warranty if you do. On a lease its just not worth it. My last lease I didn't even tint the window, they charge you like $200 to take it off.

If you want to mod on a leased car, then make sure you have the option to buy the car when the lease is up.

Either way, make sure the car is yours for good before you start modding. It's not worth spending money on a car that you are going to return anyways... exceptions include gas and insurance.
