good question. well.... the only way I know of to answer that in the summer months is to wait until it rains and go 45mph and then slam on the brakes(in a parking lot away from ANY vehicles or people). if you hear the ABS working then you know for sure. if you lock up and cant steer then no.

there is a module you can find near the brake booster but I cant remember exactly for sure. I will see if I can find out

look in your under the hood fuse box and if there is a relay in the spot that says ABS then you do if not then you dont.

You definately do. By 97 almost every car had 'em. Look at the inside of your brake rotors in the front (unless you have drums in the front lol jk). You'll see the abs wheel speed sensor.

If you have drum brakes in the back just put rotor brakes on there and don't be stupid in slippery conditions and you won't need ABS (I really dislike ABS... It has almost gotten me in multiple accidents).

Auto pilot is nice too.

Oh boy I have a story about that.

My friend used to be an insurance adjuster. She was telling me about a girl who was driving on the highway one night and got tired. So she put the cruise control on crawled into the back seat and went to sleep......

LMAO@!!!! thats the funniest thing i have ever heard! was she hot? cause see I have coined a my own theory it is called "Bonazza's Law" it states: If a female human being portrays themself in a unintelligent manner and has an immaculate physical appearance, then the female in mention will be particularly yielding when faced with the idea of some act of sexual or intimate nature.

simply put: dumb + hot = easy

The ABS in my 06 are complete JUNK. So is the traction control but that is a different discussion. I don't know how many times I have locked the brakes up for no apparent reason. I can almost literately stand on the brakes in my 96 GS without ABS and wont lock them up but if would try that in the 06 I can guarantee that they will lock up.

I've stood on my brakes in the 3/S at over a 110 and that was the only time I have actually had the ABS kick in. Its not a good feeling. But standing on the brakes at 80 and I just get stoppage. ABS is great for dry weather and bad drivers.

(I track my car.)
