ok i blew the engine in my 90 eclipse gs 4g63 i was wondering how hard it would be to put the 4g63t into the car would it bolt strait up just basicly wire up the turbo booster or what all would be the problem??? am i better off just rebuilding my engine and putting a turbo on it?

its a direct swap provided you have all the parts.. it is the same motor just one is turboed and has lower compression pistons and differnt ecu etc...

your engine wire hardness will not work you have to find a turbo mode one and then it will work.

I would prefer to build the N/T and then turbo it to save myself some hassle. Mostly because i'm better at building than I am at wiring.

The only downside is if you plan on roadcourse racing or beating it hard because the n/t 4g63's didn't have oil squirters to keep the pistons cool. You could toss some wiseco's onto your stock rods and eliminate that problem though.

yeah :rolleyes: even the drag racer guys use the non turbo block to clear those big A$$ piston because those oil squirters are in the way.
