So yea as you might know I also have a 2003 Neon SXT that i pretty much gave my brother but I still fix it up when i have some spare change lol but anyway the other day I took it to the dealership because it was leaking transmission fluid. well a few min ago i got a call from my brother saying something was wrong with the neon and im like "what else is knew its a neon." and he told me to come take a look at it so i did. he described the problem as "its like the gas pedal is pressed at all times. it just revs constantly even at idle." and im thinkin' prollly the idle speed sensor or a throttle body issue. well i got there and he started the car and it instantly reved to 6 grand. I told him to pop the hood and as soon as he did i busted out laughing. the throttle body was disconnected from the intake.. lmao. apparently when the dealership did there "million point inspection" looking for other things wrong with the car so they could fix them they failed to tighten the clamp. silly dodge mechanics. :P

wow that is worse than mine.

I was going to post a story today that involved my Sable. I took it to sears for an oil change because i'm not allowed to work on vehicles in the parking lot of my apartment complex and I asked them to check the front end cause I was getting a noise. I was thinking it was a ball joint and a heat shield rattle or something

The "mechanic" comes out and tells me:
1. I have a broken spring in the rear (very common for these vehicles)
2. My coolant is low and could be causing detonation and that might be the rattle noise i'm hearing,,,hmmmm I just put a new overflow tank on it
3. the front end is tight

So I ask him to show me. He shows me the spring, yea, its broken but I didn't doubt this one. Then I look at the overflow tank. it's 1/8 inch below the minimum line....detonation caused by over heating,,I think not. Then I ask him to lift it a little higher and smack the front cat with my hand, sure enough the heat shield is about to fall off. So I tell him to drop it down I just want to pay for the oil change and leave. I'm still curious about the loose sound so I pop the hood and bounce the car. Bad strut mount.

So basically all of those problems were actually caused because my coolant was 1/8 of an inch low and my engine was detonating  id!ots
