I'm new to this forum, and I am about to get a new 08 lancer ES(I'm pretty excited, first new car!)

The only 2 mods in the near future I see are wheels and putting on the gts front airdams...

I've found them online already, but I was wondering about the install. Are they actually bolted on, or is it just 2 sided tape. Would it be that hard?

It's both actually. Each air dam shares 2 bolts with your undercarriage. It uses double sided tape to hold it firmly in place.

The side skirts are the same thing.

I know the pain... I was pulling into my bank and I hit those damned stopper things in the lot. I was like "NOOOOOOOOO!"

Fortunately, you can't see any of the damage unless you are actually looking underneath the car.

****, so did I on a large curb= CRUNCH. It was a a pretty loud sound for only hitting the passenger side tip.

You're right thou, can't see the damage unless you look directly at it. It actually displaced my bumper under the RH side headlamp. I just punched the panel back in with my hand, aghhhhh

If the parts is made according to oem standard, than it should be under carriage 3 bolt and nuts and the face attach should be 5 bolts and nuts.

Talk about pain? My 09 GTS was hit in a grcery store parking lot.. Crushed the drivers side fender and messed up the front bumper cover ..Not to mention it was a hit & run..Less than 2000 miles on it...WTF? I was sick!
Anyone have a Rally red Pearl nose cover and or frt left fender they may have taken off and replaced with after market parts they'd like to sell?

I can feel your pain, I can understand is not because about the accident damage front fender, is just simply a 09 new car you hit. anyway the front left fender is not cheap.

My car is booked in tomorrow with my local Mits dealer to fit the front airdams, side airdams, fog lights and rear lip spoiler. I'm excited to see how it looks!

**** Mits dealer put on the GTS rear spoiler instead of the lip spoiler!!? They're ordering a new boot lid for me as they've drilled into my existing boot lid to mount that ugly spoiler!

I negotiated the body kit with the purchase of the vehicle, so I don't have an exact price. It round a bout worked out to $750.00, including fog lamps, including fitting.

I added vinyl to the front bumper tonight though, adds a nice touch!

Looks good. Where did you get the vinyl from? And did you put vinyl on the chrome part too or is that the DE piece?
