I am about to get a lancer, and had a question. I would like to get a set of gts wheels, but I may not be able to come by any of those...
I was looking at discounttires.com, and they have offbrand wheels like "MB" and 'Drag'. Does anyone know anything about these wheels? They are cheaper, but do they sacrafice quality too?

Thanks

The best thing to do is to make sure that the wheels that your going to get have a warranty on the finish. You could get some forged wheels...though they will be some $$$$$ for them. Stronger & lighter than the stockers.
Years back I had American Racing wheels & the clearcoat kept peeling no matter what I did. They were never in the snow & they were always hand washed with car soap, follow by a polish.....
Since then I have bought a chrome set of stock wheels for my wifes Altima. They came with a 5 year warranty. No issues......not bought from the dealership, but oemrims.com. They are still going pretty good, but I really neglected them this winter & it shows...ooops! Good thing it's the wifes car

Since then I cannot comment on what brand of wheels will or will not last. Alot of guys on here will tell you to never keep your good wheels on in the winter or they will be eaten by road salt.

Call up the company that sells the rims to verify the warranty if you have any q's on it. Better safe than out of a warranty.
