Hello,

When I start my car in the morning I can hear a very thick noise especially when I put the gear at the 'D' Drive it comes up with that annoying noise. Is that the drive belt or is it something different?

Thanks for your help,
Mohamad

check the oil level in the automatic

on a flat road or gararge

when car is hot cycle the gears

leave motor running/ put into park with handbrake on

check auto fluid

it should be between both marks

when was the auto oil changed ?

other possibles
check powersterring oil level

when cold it could be the cam belt tensioner

other engine noises drive belt and their tensioners

it is hard to fix noise problems on a forum

Thanks for your reply,

It bascially happens every morning at cold startup, I have serviced the car around 2 months ago when the mechanic said to me that he adjusted the tension of the drive belt, I'll check with my mechanic anyway, I just wanted to know what are the possibilities before I talk to him.

Regards,
Mohamad

Well on this model the onlee belt that is adjustable is the power steering belt , the main drive belt for the a/c and alternator are non adjustable , it has a spring loaded auto tensioner.
