i did a quick search online and i didn't find a timing chain conversion kit for the 3G eclipse. just to set the record straight, any car equipped with DOHC do not have 2 separate belts turning the camshafts. its one single belt. if your car slipped a couple teeth, driving it like that could blow your motor, bending valves, crack the head even. it could have caused all sorts of havoc in your engine. if it is in fact a timing belt problem you may be looking at worse news than you already think you have.
take a test of your cylinder's compressions, take your valve covers off and take a look at your valves and lifters. then look at the timing belt. if you go out and buy a timing belt, but had bent valves, or burned pistons or piston rings. you may just cause more problem when you go to start your car after you do a timing belt change.
