Removed the front grill with the Mitsubishi emblem and sanded/painted the old chrome lip with a black paint. Then used 1/4" chrome trim and lined it around the grill. It works like tape. I believe you can pick some up at Home Depot, Lowes, etc.

I believe it's discussed in the above thread. Happy hunting!

yeah. its simple chrome auto trim you can buy from autozone. its rolled up in a package, as you stick it on you take the adhesive backer off. quite a simple mod, but makes a really good accent to the car.

as far as the grill, if you fine a nice machine shop nearby, you can have them bead blast your grill. then add Zinnsor 123 primer paint from home depot. (the stuff will stick to anything even without prep or cleaning) then have the paint, paint matched to get the proper color you need for your specific car. a fuel door will work the best to have it paint matched. then you can either spray it on, or brush/roll it on. you decision.

Im either thinking of doing this or just blacking out the front chrome and leaving it like that.

Also will i need to sand and primer?

there is only one primer i know of that will stick to a dry surface without prep work. its that stuff i mentioned before. if will stick you your hands even after you wash them. like i said before the easiest way to do it would be bead blasting. its like sand blasting only its not as harsh, and you don't have to have the mess of sand.
