O.K. I was on my way to work this morning and had to stop and get gas... no biggie.. I was kinda happy it had dropped .04 since yesterday.. so I get back on interstate and me and my lil sister are talkin and look down and my speedometer is bouncing between 65 and 75.. alright so it's done this before and I just put a lil more gas to her and she straighteded up... so I did it this time.. figure I was runnin bout 85 now... speedometer moved up and starts bouncin between 80 and 90.. any idea what's causin it? I have absolutely no clue.. as long as you accelerating it moves like normal but when you hit a cruising speed it starts bouncin... oh and by the way its a 91 2.0 dohc non turbo but it has the transmission out of a turbo..

all i can say is that its the speedometer cable cause when i swapped my trannys i didnt have it tight enough in their but it was no biggie after that and if it still does it i would try and replace the speedo cable??? or check the gauge cluster then check check the connections on the gauge cluster

Didn't think about that... I'll check it when I get home this evenin... if I have to replace it would the cable from a non-turbo be the same... I have a 92 eagle talon that is my parts car and that is were the engine in my car came from..

Well when I left yesterday the problem was solved.. Everything worked just fine... but when I left this morning it was the same thing... so I am attributing it to the dew on the ground and making the cable get moist.. that's what I get for havin a short car...
