so my 96 eclipse gs with a 420a knocks but only after about 3 or 4 thousand rpms
does anyone have and idea what might be making this problem.

bad o2 sensor, vacuum leak, fuel pressure regulator malfunction. are you getting a check engine light? how do you know its knocking?

no check engien light you can just hear it when you pass a car and it echoes off the other car. and when i mess with the throttle body under the hood

knock won't echo. what mods do you have? possibly heat shield

its all stock. i tried to take off the heat sheald but i cant get the bolt from the bottom off.

if you've loosened 1-2 bolts but it's still there this is your vibration. rip it off!!! :gunsmilie:
