This was an expensive lesson for me. Broke a 30$ puller, then broke a 50$ puller. Probibly would have broken more if I didn't do my research. You need a Chrystler harmonic puller to get that stubborn thing off. It has two pins that go into the hole in your crankshaft and push agianst the insideof the crank. It fits like a dream over the pulley and is beefy as all hell. Dont be afraid to crank on it! it'll take alot for it to start! The easiest way to get one is to utilize autozone's tool program. It's like 60 bux to rent, but when you return it (unbroken) they give you all the money back (accept for the taxes). And once you get it off you're only halfway done. The crank sprocket is even harder to get off. Luckly a regular steering wheel puller and STRONG!! bolts gets the job done :57:
Yea it was expensive for me to but after breaking my first puller (which we had at the house) I said screw it and cut mine off. The $30 replacement pulley at the time was cheaper then renting the puller. the second time I had to do it though i got the puller. I dont know what autozone you goto but I get my taxes back to when I return a tool to them. But yea the chrysler puller works great its what I have to pull mine.
