Hey guys there are already several different threads but none of them had the info i wanted so forgive me for starting a new one.

I want to change my 16" ES wheels and tires to the GTS wheels and tires. My question is do i really need to lower my car?

Iv gotten many different things from different people some people were adamant about a drop while others say not to because of the potential damage when hitting potholes and such. Thanks for the feed back guys.

It would look better lowered... But I dont see a reason that would MAKE you do it.... As far as I know its all the same set up because some dealerships offer free GTS rim upgrades on some of there cars.

Its just an option

Hi There,
you can upgrade the origniial 16'' rims. I've Lancer ES 09 and changed teh rims to 18'' with 215/45/R18 tire.
You dont need to do anything else....because..the overall diameter remains almost same....!!!

cheers...
