Ok, so a friend of mine was on ebay looking for turbo parts for his 420a he found a stock exhaust manifold that had an external wastegate flange fabricated on to it. He never had a chance to install it, so im just wandering how you guys think it would work? personally i think it would workout fine but i just want to get the opinion of other dsm drivers..

thanks guys :)

its the stock 420a manifold right? well.... it would work to a certain degree.

the runners are a little too long and will cause major lag. The casting wasn't designed for those types of temps or pressures so it will probably crack. you shouldn't weld cast steel so the flange welds will probably crack.

it might work for short while but I wouldn't use it.

There are kits to DIY if you have welding skills.

Ask around at some specialty shops. Some have them and others will make you some.

your best bet is to take a gasket for the turbo you want to use to a shop that can cut flanges and have them cut a flange for you then take that to an exhaust shop and have them make you a custom manifold.
