I loved that ep!

However one big thing bothered me...

They raced the RalliArt against the STI as Jeremy claimed the Evo X would OBVIOUSLY beat it (We all knew that anyways). He said that the Ralliart had 300bhp which was the same as the STI and i let out a big "Huh?" when i heard that because last i saw, the Evo X had about 290bhp. I did some research and it turns out that the UK spec Evo X has various turbo/engine trims (at least it's what it looks like, i'm no pro with model numbers)!!!

The base engine/turbo is the FQ-300 which looks like the model guys in the US get with 290bhp. Then it goes up and up and up til the FQ-360 which has a whopping 354bhp!!! However it does cost about 2x more than what you lucky Americans pay. I'm in Australia and i had paid 1.5x more for my GTS or VRX as we call it here compared to you guys!

But what i'm more excited about is the UK Spec Ralliart! Hell if it's got the same BHP as the Evo X US Spec AND it's cheaper, hell i'd be tempted to see how much it'd be to import one from there and drive it in Australia! But i guess that'll have to wait as we haven't even gotten the prices or trims for our Evo Xs and Ralliarts. Hopefully ours will be quicker than yours! Hwahahaha!

EDIT: Replace where i wrote Ralliart lancer with the Lancer GSR FQ-300 SST model. Turns out he was comparing that instead.

I just started watching this show and it is amazing. I love the episode where they tried to destroy a Toyota Pickup truck. They demolished a building with the car on the roof, and it still ran after the crumble!!

Ahh Top gear. Cars and British humor rolled into the best car show ever...

I'm disappointed they only raced the FQ-300 against the STI and not the FQ-360. It doesn't really make sense /shrug

It's more of an equal comparison, the times were ridiculously close with the FQ-300 and the STi. Commentator also says the FQ-360 would obviously beat the STi which Ravine graciously points out that the FQ-360 has 354BHP

On another note, Edmunds.com actually got the US Spec GSR and MR to win against the STi in a similar series of tests.
