I really want to upgrade to the 2nd gen brakes. I think you should to. Unless you need massive 6 pot brakes for auto x or circuit, go with the cheaper upgrade.

2nd gen calipers are wicked hard to find. The dealers don't supply them anymore. So it would have to be a 1st gen upgrade... Which is only kinda cool.. Much better braking... but not as cool. :(

Interesting.

E - just keep your eyes peeled on the classifieds. Members sometimes upgrade to the Brembo's and AP's. You just need good timing.

I was very lucky to get these as they are in very good condition, a guy was breaking a heavily modded Jap import and I paid $400 for the whole lot, I've seen these new going new for $3000 +

Ok. I need to ask two questions....

How effective are those vents when the air is going straight in and out with venting at both sides?

How much for those clear turns? Please PM me info so as not to clutter up E's thread.

OK! I developed the vents about 4 years ago from the OE blisters, these are now made in fibreglass and weigh less than the OE blisters and also they do away with the rubber strip, the intake side has an integrated scoop which fits right up against the suspension turret, this directs the air onto the air filter ( HKS/K&N) when raining any moisture entering is forced to the back of the scoop where it condenses and runs away down the inner wing, I have had mine fitted for nearly 4 years and run in all weathers with no problems.

IMO the scoop certainly makes a difference performance wise, dump valves if you have one sound very loud and you can here the filter sucking air under heavy accelleration, the rear vent releases alot of hot air from the engine bay, It dosent lower temps but it allows air flow in and around the engine bay, they come in undercoat ready for colour with nuts and washers for installation, the only mod for the air filter side is a small part of the bonnet inner skin needs to cut away for scoop to fit!

The clear turn signal lenses are made in a mold I developed 4 years ago the plastic lenses are cut from flouresent light diffussers with template, then heated up in the mold and I form the lens using an OE turn signal lamp, the temp has to be spot on, if not they do not form properly.

To fit the lenses you heat the whole turn signal lamp in water until the glue is soft and you can pull the orange lens off in one piece, once off you fill the channel left with clear bathroom mastic and fit the lenses, additional items are chrome turn signal bulbs and longer retaining screw for installation, I have finished mine off by sticking a SS plate over the fixing screw with double sided tape.
