I read online that you can buy a cable to hook your ECU to a laptop and download a program onto your ECU that lets you modify your settings. Has anybody ever heard of this, know how to do this, or had this done? I was also thinking about getting a Greddy Emanage piggyback unit for $300. Anybody got any suggestions?

Yes, I have done it. It allows you to change rev limiter, speed limiter, and air/fuel via the computer. Most of the time it will cause you CEL to come on though. I'd only get it if you know what you are doing though.

Do you know anything about the Emanage unit? I'd much rather buy something that won't through codes everytime I make changes. I'm already trying to get rid of an O2 sensor code.

Bob dont encourage him to mess his ecu up>_< :bwekk:
they are not cheap they have a immobilizer which needs to be removed(flashing)-150
then you still need to do what you want to.personal opinion(Buy A Evo) or 1st 2nd gen DSM. if you plan on building/tuning.
