I need some help quick.
Yesterday I got back from out of town. my car had been sitting from the night before so it was about 24hrs. and I noticed that my battery was dead. after replacing the battery it was brought to my attention that the brake lights stay on.
first two thoughts were: 1. Brake switch is sticking 2. the aftermarket alarm is Malfunctioning
got my mechanic to take a look at it due to my lack of time and knowledge of the wiring system.
He replaced the brake light switch and said the alarm is not wired through my brake lights. he traced the problem to my Cruise Control (i don't know how or why). he just disconnected the cruise control and said everything is working fine.
now I have a different but related problem:
Left Side: Brake light doesn't work any time, light does come on when I turn the headlights on, blinker does not work.
Right Side: Brake light stays lit (bright like my foot is on the brake) no matter if the car is on, off, lights on or off, it never changes, when I turn the blinker on the individual brake light and blinker light (both on the right side) flash back and forth.
If anyone has any clue what is happening please help. it is my daily driver and I am stuck with this not working.
