Hi, I own a 97 TE Magna, and I wanted to put in a set of Dimante/Varada 97-03 Headlights...
I currently have 2 sets of HID's one for the H4 socket, and another for my H1's...

I was just curious, what type of light globes do the Dimante/Varada headlights (97-03) take?

Well no , H4 are similar to 9003 and HB2 bulbs , they are dual filament , but my headlight system is a 4 bulb system. the D2S are HID capsules and the H11 is the high beam , the H11 is a single filament (H4 is a dual light , high and low) The H11 on my car is a Xenon type 80W.

So the 9003 and HB2 are similar to a H4, meaning it has duel filaments?

Meaning I could get a Bi-Xenon setup with the 9003/HB2 and have a H11 HID as high beam as well!?

Well 9003/HB2/H4 are almost basically the same bulb. These are dual high-low beam bulbs , as used primaraly in 2 bulb headlight system , with one bulb producing the high and low beam per side. As i kno of Diamante's are all 4 bulb systems. 2 low beam bulbs and 2 high beam bulbs.

The H11 is a totally diffrent bulb , its a single filament bulb. and can be used as a low beam or high beam depending on the model and wattage. The D2S is the HID regular while the H11 copmes on with the HID D2S when on High , but i never use high beam because my fog/driving lights are H11 , so there is more than enough brightness with my regular HID and H11 driving light

Yeah, i actually looked into it, and H4/9003/HB2 are the exact same bulb, it seems different country's call them different part names... So all I'm gonna need to change, if I get those headlights would be my H1's for a set of H11's :P

Thanks!

Yeah we are HB2 but i kno the diffrent names when we import bulbs. But yes yu can get 80W H11's which are Xenon's which have excellent clarity , we have used them on Diamante's without HID in place of the low beam and some we have added HID capsules in the lenses to give the more off HID look , but the H11 will give great clarity and the lumes it puts out is good.

im currently looking into getting a set of HID 80w H4-4s, (H4-3's if I can't get them in 80w) 8000k, and also a set of HID 80w H11's at 10000k. It should make my job a little easier... (since I'm a Domino's Delivery Driver)

Do they use H4 on the low beam? not H1? Im sure yu have a 4 bulb lighting system. If yur speaking of the color of the xenons they are 4000 , the highest lumens are 2400

Yeah, they just use H4's on low beam. My current setup has 4 bulbs, 2 a light. I'm going to get The HID's with Ballasts and have a voltage of around 23,000 and have approximately 6600 lumen, not to mention, any color on the rainbow!

yu mean 12 volts and like 40-55 watts on the HID? the lumens im not sure ? Mine are 45 watts , the color is around 7800-8000 and the lumens are i beleive 6000 , ill loook for the box , i still have them , but teh clarity is awsum if yur gunna convert , they arent hard , i never had to but , i have done them. Its all about getting the right kit tho , the HID capsule choices are very important

http://www.alibaba.com/product-gs/20388804...ght_system.html

That's a link to the 80w Xenon HID Kit that I am looking into buying, it transforms 12v to 23,000v to ignite the Xenon gas in the Bulb, and seeing its not filament, its actually just gas getting a lot of voltage through it, there's a whole variety of colors you can get, it's just a ratio of the gasses.

No i kno how the HID works LoL , i thought yu were talkin about the H4 , not the HID conversion . I was explaining wut my Xenon H11 high beam and fog ligts are , and wuts their working parameters. My H11's lumens actuallyhalf that of my HID n, so with the fogs and the HID on when driving i done need anythin more than. My HID are 10,000

So yu want to replace yur regular lights all with HID conversions , so replacing both low and high beam bulbs and driving lights?

Haven't received the lights yet, I'll have them within a week! ^.^

I need a good quality set of High beams, I use them all the time, Cause I need to see house numbers in the dark... :P

My current left Headlight (Standard low range Magna/Dimante) doesn't have any brakes in it, but the right one does, and it seems to have a mechanism broken inside it, causing to to not be aligned properly, I found this out when I went to align them... lol

Yeah , ive seen that happen on GS and LS ,VR-S models without Xenon or HID standard systems. The back adjuster does seem to misalign or the inner fixture holder breaks loose of it
