My 5 speed mit 3000gt dies when I place the car in neutral.

I had the same problem last year and took it to a mechanic who simply

connected a loose cable and got the problem fixed in a few mins. I have

moved since would like to see if you could help me with this problem. The car

runs fine expect for the problem.

Thanks!

Shoaib

I thought it was the one attached to the air intake unit. I have checked it and it is connected.
I did also clean the air filter.

You might have to play with the idle screw a little. IF you give it gas will it idle?

It dies after I leave gas as it tries to idle, I increased the RPM to 1100 this morning and then after I drove it didn't die in neutral but the RPM has dropped down to 500 since then but stays at 500.

So once the car warms up it idles at 500 and when it first is started it idles at 1100?

If it doesn't stall any more you just fixed the problem.
