I have a 1999 Eclipse Gs. I turned the car on and drove it for like 2 minutes, and turned it off. Then when i tried to turn it on again, it just didnt start up. It didnt even crank also. I had to push my car back like 1 block. Then we jumpstart the car, and it started. Test drived it around the block, and turned the engine off. Tried to turn it back on, but it wouldnt turn back on. We hit the battery a couple times, and it start right up again. The next day, my dad went to look at the car. He started the car right up with no problem. Turned it on twice with no problem. Later in the evening, I tried to get it turn on, and it just wont turn it. I heard a cranking noise near the radio.
Any help would be appreciated...---------->auto

I had that problem in my Nissan Pick-up. Don't know if this will help, but its worth a shot. The terminal clamps on the battery are loose. Try to tighten them some more. This results in the car starting sometimes, such as 2 or 3 times in a row, especially if it hasn't moved. The bumps and dips in the road cause the battery to move, so it loosens up the terminal clamps. If they are cracked and don't tighten, you may have to get new clamps. The way I fixed it, is I got some "quick release" clamps. http://www.napaonline.com/MasterPages/NOLM...f+Quick+ReleaseKinda something like that.This way, when you need to add stuff (amp power wire) you just attach it to the left piece in that picture. The right piece is always attached to your battery. It makes it easier when you need to work on anything where you need to disconnect your battery, you just twist that knob and it unhooks. Hope that helps...
