QUOTE(EngRWW33 @ Jul 11 2008, 05:08 AM) for the pulley... don't expect to fly out of your pants or anything but trust me when I say, as well as many before me, it is worth 120$.
It's worth it. I went back to the stock pulley and it's honestly annoying me now, I can't wait to get the V2 on. The engine even sounds different, and the shifting (especially down shifting) isn't as smooth. I love the pulley! And yeah, it would be nice to get a whole package of them and replace them all.

QUOTE(psycho2003 @ Jul 11 2008, 10:21 AM) RRM emailed me and said that there is no available DYNO for this parts because they are "adding" HP and TQ but just freeing it up. Its a good buy.
freeing up hp ? im thinking just like a new air intake ... it allows more air in and what not allowing it to preform better ... same thing with a pully its lighter allowing a better preformance and whatever ... soo freeing up hp ?? i dont get it

Think about it this way. You need to get oxygen in your lungs. You can only breathe in and out from your nose. This is what a stock car would perform at. Now, you start breathing in and out of your mouth. It's a whole lot easier. Your lungs are still the same, but you can perform better because your breathing isn't restricted. It's like adding a new intake and exhaust.

QUOTE(Bo38 @ Jul 13 2008, 12:06 AM) so adding a new intake is lke adding a new pullly? then why no dyno? i saw the injen dyno for my new intake .... why cant they have one for the pully? if itss freeing up hp then you should see an increase even if its small ... maby im just talking out my **** ... or rrm is !
Intakes are different. Injen's CAI brings in cold air, which boosts combustion, thus leading to better performance. A lightweight pulley will help reduce parasitic drag that is caused by the belt system having to operate your car's alternator and power your electrical system. You aren't gaining anything, you're just making it easier. Go take your car for a quick sprint with the stock pulley on... windows up and A/C off. Now, take the same sprint, but with the lightweight pulley on, windows up, and your A/C on. You'll see the difference... which is none. Now, if you were to turn off your A/C when you had the pulley, there is where you will find the win! If this doesn't explain it then the only thing I have left to say is... The stock pulley weighs 400lbs, RRMs is -2.7lbs, so it gives you massive weight reduction... that's why the car picks up faster. :gunsmilie:

Until I get a new exhaust, I'm inhaling through my mouth and out my nose. Eventually, my nose might start whistling. TWEEEEEEEEEEEET.

Do this... open up a savings account and put like $50 every check in there. By the time the really awesome stuff comes out, you'll have the money saved up to buy it all! Here's some food for thought... if one lightweight pulley makes such a huge difference, I wonder if it was possible to swap out more... or even all of them?!? O_O!!!

I emailed them about the all the pulleys, I thought about it and on older cars (V8s) you can order entire pulley kits that has them all and they are all light wieght. I havent heard anything back on it, but there may not be an option or it may not make a difference.

QUOTE(Bo38 @ Jul 14 2008, 10:35 PM) i ordered it today .... ha figure ill have enough to buy some headers when some new ones come out ... ill post up if anything goes wrong ... is it hard to install ? i did the cold air intake cant be that hard ? that belt might be a !@#! tho ... starting to get some more out of that little 2.0 !
I did mine without an impact wrench, it just takes a lot of elbow grease... well as a matter of fact it took all my joints and extensions to take the **** thing off, but it came off... Get someone to help you... there is a tensioner that needs to be released (basically held in place) if you don't have proper tools (like me) it's a bit of a pain. Good way to access that with a short tool is to take the radiator coolant filler container thing off (it's just one screw), then just put it to the side and that gives good access to the tensioner pulley from the top, so someone can hold it from the top while you slip the belt on or off. It works great! Make your GF help you, lol. Make her work for that money hehe :P... women can be more expensive than car, can't they ? Oh yeah, you will need to prevent the pulley from spinning while you're taking the old one off and putting the new one on. I got someone to lock a crowbar in it so it wouldn't spin. Just make sure you wrap something (such as a cloth) around the crowbar so you don't damage stuff, especially the RRM pulley is easy to scratch up or chip...
