I own an 89 plymouth colt e with a 5 speed manual tranny. It is leaking and burning oil like a sonofabitch. So i am going to be pulling it out and replacing all gaskets, seals, rings, etc. What I am wondering... is there anything that i can do to make this car better while i have the engine out? cuz its got no balls... i realize its a 1.5 but its great on gas mileage and really hasnt let me down ever... except when i get a brand new coil for 70 some bucks and it goes out 3 months later (long story)....
Any suggestions will help.
My check engine light is also on... it went out when i hooked my stock air intake back up and plugged my airflow meter back in... then it would come on for a little bit and go back off... and now it just stays on... help?!
and another thing... that stupid airflow meter or whatever it is... is there any replacement for that, or how can you get CAI with that? cuz if any of you have ever seen that thing its impossible to work around.
