The mirrors don't fold themselves but they do fold, and they are powered... at least that's what the NA Mitsubishi Site says.

So yea mine is exactly as the site states so

There are some models with powered side folding mirrors... just not the USA version. I know the Canadian models have side view mirror defoggers.

Canadians do not have the Navi option so our heated mirrors will have to do.That way when the heat is to them we can just look in them and see where we were. Who needs Navi with an option like that! :bwekk:

Yea like I said, I know for sure the US version is all manual folding... but I think they're all manual folding cause the Lancers are ported to the country and thus, mirrors fold to save space on the ship

Thanks budies, I am just doing a business research.

How do you thinks, car equip with electric folding mirror

Function
1) For example, when you lock the door this mirror will fold-in and when you unlock the door the mirror will unfold-out.

2) This mirror has build-in the signal indicator.

3) It don't have a switch to control the fold&Unfold, but it synchronize with the door central locking systems.

Question
1) what selling price you guy thinks is reasonable

2)what were you think.
2.1) car with electric folding mirror and signal indicator
2.2) Car without electric folding mirror and signal indicator.

3) What will be the demand

I think it's a nice feature, but it seems to be something I would find more common on a BMW or Mercedes or other luxury vehicles.

The turn signal indicator isn't necessary because the car has a side marker for the turn signal. Defoggers would be a better option than the turn signal.

There may be a demand for it, but it all depends. Price will affect the demand too. If my dealership said $250 for what you are saying, I think it would be a nice option to have.

You are saying for US version did not equip with Defoggers function on the side mirror ? Or there is an option when you buy the car. and how much you got to pay extra for this option?

The US version does not have side mirror defoggers and there is no option to do it, so I wouldn't know how much it would cost.

I know it's an option in Canada though, I just don't know how much.

:460: wow that great, i can smell the business. actually i am aware that there is no motorized folding mirror for this model, but i didn't know it also don't put this defoggers as a standard for the westen market. So now i know, to make this products to be more attractive for the American and Canada Lancer owner, i can add this defoggers feature. :liebe011:

It does sound great. My suggestion is to figure out how to wire the side mirror defoggers to the rear defoggers. So you can turn both on with one switch.

I'm not sure if it includes a defogger, but www.Japanparts.com sells the Lancer (Galant Fortis) mirrors with the turn signal on them.

the photo u show, is just the signal light cover (Is just a cover) we have it overhere.

but the problem 4 this car is the side mirror without the motorized folding function. in fact there is alot of demand 4 motorized folding mirror outside USA. most country when people's living in the multi story appartment, their car r park 2gether in the parking station, very often the parking lot between parking lot are very close, after parking 2 cars side by side the gap in between the 2 cars is very narrow, 4 driver 2 come out from the car. side mirror often damage is mainly cause by walking through this narrow gap. so, people r demanding 4 motorized folding mirror. they like to fold up the mirror after parking the car.

off cause as what freakingwilly say is true, is common on BMW or Mercedes. but u can c more n more japanese car r now equip with signal at the side mirror.

Pricing is a major factor as well. If the part is too expensive, nobody will buy it because the cost doesn't justify the benefit. If it's reasonable, then somebody is bound to purchase the item.

The more people that do buy them, the more they will get advertised... and in effect, the more people will buy them.
