I have been focusing on the look of the car since I got it and will be done with all the mods in a couple of months. Im not sure what performance upgrades can be done on the CVT and im not trying to go nuts doing stuff.

Could guys give me some advice on what i could do or if its even worth doing any performance upgrades on the automatic.

I think it is worth it. You will notice most of the difference in performance while in sport mode, not so much in D but there is a difference.

intake + exhaust + pulley is the best start IMO...

+1... just not in that order.

Exhaust first then the intake. The pulley doesn't help the car breathe, so you can do it at any time. Some people claim that they felt the biggest difference with the pulley... even more than an intake and exhaust (but they probably bought all their parts from RRM).

If you do the intake first, it's like your car is breathing through it's mouth and out of it's nose. I did the intake first and I do notice a difference, but I wish I did the exhaust first to get that out of the way. I still can't decide :(

=o He has a ES, which doesn't have sports mode by the way.

I'm gonna pull an old quote
"You gotta breathe first before you exhale"

I still say exhaust first... the stock exhaust system is very restrictive as is the intake. If you are putting in more air, the exhaust won't be able to get rid of it all effectively and thus, the car will reduce it's intake to compensate for the weak emissions. If you upgrade the exhaust, the car will be able to exhale better giving it more room and reason to inhale more!

That's my $0.02.

On the brighter :offtopic: side, I finally decided to do a single exhaust!

Custom exhaust, here I come!
