I just got my car today. When I picked up the car, I was driving alone and I notice that there's a light that indicate the "Passenger Airbag Off". I was just wondering if this is normal.

I edited the picture posted by Nathan0490 since his picture also shows the light is on.

The light goes off when someone is sitting in the passenger seat. No one sitting in it no need for it to go off I guess?

When there is no one in the passenger seat, the "passenger air bag off" light will glow.

Once the seat detects weight in it, & enough weight....the air bag will be active & the light will be off.

If you get into an accident & it's only you in the car, the pass. air bag will not go off.
Saving you $$$ in insurance claims. There are alot of cars now that do that.

When I'm riding in other peoples cars, I press my back against the seat to lift some weight off the bottom.

"DUDE, YOUR LIGHT IS SPAZZING!"
