Hi Everyone,

I just bought a 97 galant vrg today. I'm glad I found this thread because the first thing I want to do is fiddle with the lcd with japanese writing on it.

1.) where is this CD located on the car?
2.) anyone using band expanders?
3.) anyone put in their own single DIN tuner/cd?
4.) can I please have a copy of this reset/english cd?

Cheers

Steven

Hi All,

I got a 97 Galant Vrg and my MMCS screen just broke down. In fact, all the functions work but the display remain dark.

I can even change the CD tracks by touching the right place as I'm used to it, but I can't see more than that...

Is there any trick to make it work again ?

Can I also know how to get the reboot CD as I'm not sure that our country Mistubishi Dealer has the CD (I'm in Congo). Are the data embedded in the CD too heavy to be sent by mail ?

Thanks in advance

Hi all I am a newbie to this forum and it looks like I am after the same answers but I do have some answers for you. I just recently purchased a 1998 Galant VRG with the MMCS. In the glove box was a english manual for it, for those interested ISBN 1-86976-088-3 from JPNZ Enterprises, www.jpnz.co.nz. I also purchased a boot disc from ITEX. The car did have one but I thought it might be defective as the system was not doing everything. I can get the radio, aircon and tv(not tuned funny old thing) working is this all I can expect from it or should I be able to get more. When I turn it on it gives the japanese script with CD in it. Does it need a reboot, HOW.

Thanks Higgy
