Alrght guys, I have a problem that I think might be serious.
I have a 95 GS, manual, that is making a rythmic clicking noise coming from the front left wheel area.
This noise seems to be proportionate to the speed of the vehicle.
I got under the car, and checked the CV axels. The boots are intact, with no cracks or breaks in the boots, and I tried wiggling the CV axles, and the appear to be in good condition.
I replaced the front rotors and pads last weekend, and everything seemed to fine, but this noise just started up yesterday, and has me seriously worried about the safety of the vehicle now.
The front struts are blown and I was going to have them replaced today, as well as a rear wheel bearing.
Could the struts have anything to do with the noise, or am I looking at a more serioud problem?
Could there be an issue with the brakes? I have done brake jobs dozens of times, and neve had a prolem with them. Could I have done something wrong this time, or could it be a front wheel bearing going out as well?

i would say wheel bearin. a friend with a cougar had the same problem(his wheel clicked) so he got a new wheel bearin and it was fixed. i would say that could be your problem.

Yeah, it only happens when it is moving.
Could I have aggrivated a prexisting, unoticable problem with the wheel bearings, by doing the brake work?
The other thing is, will it be safe enough to drive the 15 - 20 miles to my mechanic to get the work done?

Clicking is usually an Axle going bad from my experience.

normally if it was an axle he would only be able to hear it at slower than highway speeds during hard turns

i'm going to stick with nail in a tire

I'm gonna stick with his wheel wants to fall off. ;)

BTW I could hear my axle clicking if I had my windows down and was driving next to a barrier.

i have a good one for you guys. this one personally had me stumped for a while. you say you replaced the rotors? where did you get them from? do you know who did the machining on them? i ask because i turned my rotors on a lathe about a year ago, and so did my boss on his car. we both had clicking noises from one side of our cars. long story short, we decided it was from the record-like spiral grooves cut into the rotor that was causing the clicking noise. after about a month of driving the clicking just went away due to the rotor wearing in. im not saying this is your problem, but rather just throwing it out there because of your new rotors.

Yeah what happened was his lug nuts loosened and it was his wheel wobbling.
