U mean keyless entry?
all doors locked windows closed

no no...
each key is set to a frequency of ohms.
I lost the key.
but I have my original key which is a diff frequency than my new key which I lost.

I need to reprogram my computer to accept my old key frequency. because mitsu reset the frequency with the new key

this may not make sense??

original key is say .05 ohms
new key that my car is set to is .08

I can put my origianl key in the ignition and it will just crank all day because the keys are set to different frequencys.

dose that make sense?

Your probably going to have to take it back to the dealer. Yes it does make sense for it to crank all day and not start to a point. My 06 wont even crank if it doesnt have the internals to the key in it.

WThell do you mean by internals?
the mitsu keys for 00-05 have either a N or R brailed on it. call dealer give em ur vin and they will tell you what key you need. easy as that. thaty probably solves ur ohms question so try it.

My 06 has the key-less entry box built onto the base of the key. If you take it apart there is a little unit inside that controls the key-less entry the trunk release and the panic button. It also sends the signal to the ignition saying its the right key for the car. I understand that your key is different i was just saying that my car kills the ignition if the right "code" isn't there.

Knowing most Mitsu dealers they will go by the original key not his reprogrammed key so that wouldn't help him. How is he supposed to look for a letter on a set of keys he lost? He wants to know if there is a way to reset his computer so that it will recognize the old set of keys again. He knows what set of keys he needs to be able to start his car. He needs the ones he lost. The problem is he LOST them but he has the set he originally lost but since he has found.

I am sorry if it seems like I am ranting but if you don't have a direct answer for him on how to do what he is trying to do and you want to respond with something that really doesn't have any relation to what he is asking IMO you shouldn't bother responding in the first place. He lost his keys once. Took it to the dealer got a new set of keys. He had the computer reprogrammed to accept the new keys. The old keys now don't work because the new keys are on a different frequency. He wants to know if there is a way to put it back to the original frequency without taking it back to the dealer. Personally I don't know of any way to do it without taking it back to the dealer. That is why I made my comment about taking it back to the dealer. It probably wont cost him as much this time around because he already has the keys but if someone knows how to do it without spending money that is what he wants to know.
