Sweet. Instead of putting in an ipod cable in the back of the head unit I might just get an after market stereo with an AUX in the front. Question is will taking out the original unit affect the keyless entry system? Appreciate and thanks in advance.

Hmm now im not sure but i would think the keyless system is not run by the stereo but unless your aftermarket deck uses it, you surely would lose your bluetooth.

Anyways my deal is that i have the bottom end stereo in my lancer and a decent system sittin in my parked last car just waitin to get put back to use

I have already install clarion deck with the aftermarket dash kit... but i bought the kit from metra. If you install a after market deck, you will lose bluetooth for sure, i think you can get a harness for the steering wheel volume control though. As for the keyless entry, I didnt have any problem with it after i install the deck.

I have the factory radio, but I want to install the a 2 slot nav system. Would I be able to just cut out that middle bar in the dash kit.

Yes, this is what im going to do as well. The dash hit i have says single and double, you just have to get rid of the middle piece.

Is there anyway to get the steering wheel controls to work after installing a new CD deck?
