i got a 96 gsx and i was working on it in the drive way, and after i was done working on it, i pulled it out of the drive way. i looked on the drive way and there was fluid all over the ground, so i put it into first and tried going up my street it wouldn't go. so when i gave it more gas it would start goin forward, but i would be hitting 5000rpm and i would be moving 5mph what could it be?

Sounds like a nicely fried trans to me.
Time for a trans rebuild. Or manual conversion.

considering the lakc of info i have... either you need more trans fluid because it all came out which means you blew trans seal. or your torque converter went out if its an auto...

unless he was doing sumthing radiator related and never hooked up teh transmission cooler lines , (or jacked up the vehicle under the transmission sump ) the spewing trans fluid everywhere when he started the vehicle , and then was quick to race the engine when it would not move (a very idiotic idea) and fried the transmission
