I have completed most of the basic maintenance on mt 95 GS 5-speed manual (spark plugs and wires, air filter, oil change and oil filter, radiator cap, trans service, new rotors and pads on front since rears were fine) except for the timing belt, throttle body cleaning, and front struts all of which should be done this coming weekend. I am thinking of then doing the basic 420a upgrades, the intake, headers, and exhaust system. When doing that, is there something specific that I should be looking for? What I mean is, are there certain specs that I should be looking at when buying these things, to make sure that everything I am getting is going to work the best, with all the other stuff, when combined. Such as, will I get good performance out of a Venom intake, Pacesetter headers, and a Borla exhaust system, OR.... would I be better of with the Venom intake, Weapon-R headers, and the Borla system? Does that make sense? I want to try to piece something like this together, but I don't know if I should be looking at certain specs on the parts.

I would eventually like to turbo it, but it is going to take some time to get to that point. Mainly, my wife and I need to move to a place that has a garage, so that we can do engine rebuilds, and the like. If that happens (hopefully in a few months) I am going to start doing an engine build right away, by getting another engine, and stuffing it in when I get it done. But, like I said, that is in the future, and money providing. I see an engine build taking at least six months for me to do (first one ever, and you always make mistakes on the first try so I wil have to fix those, learning everyrhing I need to know, money, speciallty tools, etc).

QUOTE(Rob @ Jul 6 2008, 11:42 PM) Cam gears will do nothing while he's N/A. Strut bars are also unecessary at this time. Sorry fellas , I forgot the word basic. But cam gears can offer performance in the N/A state it just requires dyno tunning :o But who wants to go thru all that shannanagins
