we if things go like they r planed ill be gettin a block for my car tomorrow and droppin it in this weekend. and possibly have it runnin. is there nething else i should do while i drop the motor in? ill ber gettin a gasket kit what should include all the gaskets i need and more. new timing belt. new oil. should i also get new plugs?

Oil Pump was highly recommended the cost isnt that much but keeps your engine safe, anything you wont be able to get at later.

ok ill do the plugs n wires but ill pass on the oil pump since its just a temp block. still have 1 in the shop so i just wanna get it to where its runnin till i cna get the other out the shop n plus i dont wanna spend another 300 to get it lol

$179 for oil pump and entire front cover. you can get just the gears if you want also but you have to know exactly how to put them in. http://www.slowboyracing.com/estore/produc...1&cat=60&page=1

Didn't know theres an art to putting oil gears in... I just sorta put them together lubed them and dropped them in.

if you eliminate the balance shafts its not such a big deal, but if they are still there the timing makes need aligned carefully

yea i know it kinda pointless to drop a block in and then take ot out. but at the moment i cant afford 1600 to get it out the shop and i dont mind goin through all the work again its a hobby i have lol. plus when i get the one out the shop it well have everything brand new and balance shafts removed new gasket all around either a rebuild or new oil pump what ever the shop does so for the 1 im droppin i dont wanna spend alot i just wanna be able to drive since i had to get it registered and insurance on it

ok well i got the motor but i think i forgot 1 thing about puttin it in. ok on the intake mani theres 4 or 5 places for vaccume lines all in a row pretty much im not totaly sure what one goes where i know 2 or 3 of them run off the same line but not sure if theres a exact order for them. if ne1 know the order n can get me a pic or sum kinda diagram that would be sweet i wanna take this to work on monday lol well hopin to so hope sum1 can help me out

i know that but theres like 3 to 5 all next to eachother the hoses have lines on them red, white, yellow and plain black if needed ill take a pic of the area im talkin about.



and heres another question i have i need what i belive is the flex plate. the part the bolts the crank to the torque converter. my question can i use one off a non turbo automatic or does it have to be a turbo model?
