.... are you asking us to look at the brand of the muffler???

The actual piping of the exhaust doesn't matter at all, as long as its the right size (2.5 or 3 in usually). usually what varies in exhausts is the cat and muffler. Both of which really don't matter.

Slant
crook
JDM crook.
angled.

The reason it is positioned like that is to blast the noise into the open windows of other cars. It was first done on motor cycles.

Its called a Homosexual Fart Can.

Only people who don't know how to put an exhaust on, or people who buy the wrong one for their car, or people who want to lose performance put those on.

yes, by having that angle at the end you are putting an extra bend in the exhaust causing a loss in HP

i already have exhaust on my car and its far from a fart can. and what kinda power loss are you talking about. seems to me that that little bend at the end isnt gonna do much. i may be totally mistaken but not sure.

Nominal

You will see this commonly used on STis and EVO, I forget which one of these cars coming out on a slant actually cuts out a bend.

The more bends, the less power you get,

And emc, I think it is the STI in which the slant cuts the bend out

Thats right on the bends,The pipe is smaller in diameter on the bend itself resrticting proper air mass flow. Some companys know this so they make a bends keeping the diameter open by placing an adjuster inside pipe.
