Finaly got my hands on a 97 RS for 2K$ today and so far the only things that has come up its a missfire on one of the plugs witch ill take care this next weekend and also when i speed up i heard a huming noise coming from the front of the car and i can feel it on the gas pedal too . i have no idea what this could be . the car was seating at the lot for a while so since the front brakes are discs could it be coming front the brakes at front? i notice the first time i stop after i got the car out of the lot that the front rims where i bit too hot .. any ideas ?

or it could be the tranny, or it could be the fuel pump, or it could be the axels....


There are alot of things that could be causing this. We will need more details to help you :57: :thumbsup:

Wheel bearings.. thats what the problem was so ill be changing it this weekend .How hard its to replace the wheel bearings?

It takes me about an hour or so. Its not that hard if you have a haynes or chiltons laying around.

As soon as i saw that you said the wheel was hot i knew it was the wheel bearing. I just did mine on the Evo. You might want to get a slide hammer just in case;)
