I have added some emblems / vinyl to my 09 lancer gts and was wondering what everyone thought of it...... like or dis-like?
I think I like the gts and 2.4 emblems, but not sold on the vinyl lettering yet.... just looking for opinions. Thanks.

The GTS looks nice... not so sure I would have gone with the 2.4 on the drivers side. I also like to look of the decals on the side skirts, maybe just not the color you have it... but over all good job. :thumbsup:

I did the 2.4 on the back for symmetry only, but your right, probably doesn't need it. The 2.4 on the sides is kind of a tribute to my 87 mustang gt that i sold to buy the lancer, it had the 5.0 emblems on the side in the same position. I liked the decals on the skirts right from the start, the font matches the lancer emblem on the back, but something always wasn't just right, and now that you mention it, maybe it is the color. My thinking was I wanted something different for the color, but not red or purple, pink, green, or florescents, so that left blues, oranges, yellows, white. I thought something orangish/redish would match the tail lights nice, so the color I ordered was called orange-red. It ended up being alot more orange than I thought. The decals are cheap and easy to remove so maybe I'll experiment. Thanks for the feedback.

White... definitely white. Should have bought an L for the 2.4 though. People see it and think "2.4 what?"

Although on Wheel of Fortune, L's are free... but they rip you off on vowels. $250!!!

White man.... that would look great! I like the side decal, but I think you need to find some matching lettering. Looks a little weird with the two different types of font.

I agree, the GTS looks nice but I personally dont really like the look of the 2.4 or the LancerGTS on the side.

If you want to keep the LancerGTS on the side, then go with white or silver if they have it. If you have or plan on doing anything 2-tone in the car or adding any kind of accent color elsewhere then go with that color. For instance if you wanted a 2-tone with blue then go with a blue emblem

1) Can you rearrange the badges so the shorter ones go on top then the larger ones on bottom?
2) Like everyone is saying, add the "Liters" or "L" on the 2.4
3) Italics kinda messes it up.
4) Nice side decals... just not the color. Chrome-ish will look sickly nice.

White, then blue, were my next choices, I'll try white, that should pop nice, you guys sold me. As for the L, i wasn't sure which way to go, lots of cars on the road dont have the L, but i thought the same thing i wonder if people know what the 2.4 stands for. Adding the L would be simple. You guys sold me on white, i'm going to give it a try. And i hear ya on the font matching, the decal font matches the oem lancer font as close as I could get, but the rest I just couldn't find a closer match. Thanks for the feedback.

I didnt have any 2 tone color plans I actually like the tarmac black pearl on black on black look. I'm going to try white for the decals (maybe silver..hmmm..). Thanks for the feedback.

I could put them anywhere I want, but if i remove the current ones they dont stick back on, i'd have to buy new letters, numbers.
Im going to add the L.
I hear ya on the italics, but the normal straight numbers where 1.5" high and the italics are 1", i thought 1.5" was too big seeing as the oem ones are about 3/4", so i went with the italics.
I'm going to do white or some type of silver, but leaning towards white for now.

the only part i really like is the GTS, but i'm a minimalist. all about the sleeper look -- i've got the mods but not all into the greddy or injen stickers.. etc. that's just me. the GTS badge is slick though :clap:

Thanks on the gts, and you know im starting to see the appeal of a clean / sleeper look. Last night 2 fast 2 furious was on and i've seen it before, but it has the EVO in it so i was kinda watching it and every car in it had all these lights and glowing things, and spinning things, and stickers all over and I was thinking thats way too much. That evo is bad a.. though. I'm going to do the evo front end look, prob paint it grey or silver (i have the tarmac black) so the vinyl will be gone, if i put it back it will be grey or silver. But thanks for the feedback, this forum is great, I appreciate the honest opinions.

I spaced out each letter about 1/8" and taped them together before applying it to the trunk.

not bad... i assume it has that goldish glow bc of poor lighting? another fine mod by freakinwilly :banana:
