k I drove my car yesterday to work ~40 miles each way. It drove fine. I got home, parked it and went inside. I go out later to go to the gym...it wont start at all. It wont even crank. But my radio and system still work and everything. I dont know what it could be. Any ideas? I am assuming something electrical.

disconnect and reconnect your battery terminals.. might be corroded to the point they won't flow enough juice to the starter.. just a thought.. good luck

If you tap the starter and it works, then you need a new starter. Still not turning over? Check your transistors and whatknot, then check your ECU

ok so its not the starter, not the ignition switch, not the fuse link, and still no crank. Its not the battery either. I checked it, but it is a brand new optima battery btw. But it is fine. I still don't know what is wrong. It still wont crank, but I can crank my system up all the way fine. Everything else in the car works. Any ideas?

I dont know if this helps either, but I now I keep blowing the fuse for my blinkers. I keep changing the fuse and it keeps blowing. Is this related?

Crank position sensor. If you keep blowing fuses you may have an electrical short somewhere.

I had a similar problem on day 2 of owning my car. Died in an intersection and wouldn't even turn over to get started.

Had it towed for 75 bucks, only to find out it was a 50 cent piece on the clutch pedal. The place didn't even charge to fix it. Said it happens alot on many cars, because they are plastic and they break easy, and he used a rubber replacement.

it is a stick, well i did just change the clutch master clyinder. But it is my RS. And yea, wouldn't the car still crank if it was the crank sensor? Also, it's kinda weird...When I turn the key, I hear a loud pop in the speakers. I know its cutting out the power to the speakers b/c they are ran on my amp, but should it make that sound? Thanks guys. I plan on deciding to tow it or what tommorrow. but if anyone knows about this 50 cent piece on the clutch let me know. I am assummimg it might be a clip right?

I've had the same problem with my 91 turns out that I have a short in the power wire that connects to my starter.
